An extended-stay hotel with 102 units would join a proposed apartment and luxury senior rental community

A new 102-unit hotel is planned at the intersection of University Parkway and Tuttle Avenue following the sale of the property to a South Dakota development company.

The more than three-acre parcel at 2590 University Parkway was sold for $1.5 million on March 27 to Sarasota Staybridge LLC, registered to Quest Development Co. of South Dakota, according to the deed of sale. Quest plans to built a Staybridge Suites hotel, according to a press release from the SVN Commercial Advisory Group, which handled the sale.

Staybridge Suites is an extended-stay brand under the InterContinental Hotels Group.
